DSynchronize 2.30

DSynchronize is a freeware utility that lets you periodically synchronize two or more folders in a LAN. It is also possible to specify the time and the day on which the sync has to run, and to create some “filters”.

There is also an option to add the date and time of the sync to the name of the folder, to obtain a series of backups, classified by date and time.

DiskInternals Linux Recovery 1.0

DiskInternals Linux Recovery is a handy no-cost utility that runs under any version of Windows and designed to recover the erased or damaged information that is kept on Ext2/Ext3 partitions.

DiskInternals Linux Recovery might come in handy on a number of occasions when due to the unforeseen contingencies there was a loss of important data stored on Ext2/Ext3 disks.

DiskInternals Linux Recovery can recover both the files you just accidentally deleted and the files which have been erased long time ago. It’s also capable of restoring corrupted files and can read and recover the information located on an inaccessible drive. The files you restore can be saved on any (including network) disk, which is visible to the host operating system.

The utility also allows you to repair a corrupt or damaged partition table and attempt to restore a disk after a serious crash, so you’ll have a chance to repair a serious malfunction right away.

In case you noticed that you lost a piece of valuable information only after you formatted a partition, DiskInternals Linux Recovery can unformat the disk and it’ll be up and running again.

DiskInternals Linux Recovery can create a virtual partition and mount an image so it can be processed just like any another regular disk.

HashTab 1.11

HashTab is a Windows shell extension which adds a tab called “File Hashes” to the Windows Explorer file properties.

HashTab is a shell extension that allows you to see file hash information.

The tab contains the MD5, SHA1 and CRC-32 file hashes. These are common hashes that are used to verify the integrity and authenticity of files. Many download sites list the MD5 hash along with the download link.

The HashTab makes it very simple for Windows users to check these hashes on any file on the system without using external tools.

SyncToy for Windows XP 1.4

SyncToy for Windows XP 1.4

SyncToy is an easy to use, customizable utility that will help you move, copy, rename and delete files between computers and folders.

There are new sources of files coming from every direction: digital cameras, e-mail, cell phones, portable media players, camcorders, PDAs, and laptops. Increasingly, computer users are using different folders, drives, and even different computers (such as a laptop and a desktop) to store and retrieve files. Yet managing hundreds or thousands of files is still largely a manual operation.

In some cases it is necessary to get copies of files from one place; in other cases there is a need to keep two storage locations exactly in sync. Some users manage files manually, dragging and dropping from one place to another and keeping a mental card catalog in their heads. Others use one or more applications to provide this functionality for them.
